Brailsford & Dunlavey is growing, and we’re looking for a talented Assistant Project Manager to join us in our Costa Mesa, CA office.

What You'll Be Doing

This role supports our work with colleges and universities, helping bring big campus projects to life from concept to construction. You’ll partner with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure that things stay on track, on budget, and aligned with the bigger vision.

Some key things you’ll handle:

• Support project managers in planning and managing higher education capital projects
• Help set budgets, timelines, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and builders
• Attend project meetings and make sure everyone stays aligned
• Review designs, cost estimates, and construction logistics
• Keep documents, reports, and presentations organized and sharp
• Stay current with industry best practices (we’ll help with training!)
• Pitch in on business development, research, and occasional travel (up to 20%)

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction, real estate, or something similar
• 3+ years of relevant experience (higher education or institutional projects = a big plus!)
• Solid understanding of design and construction principles
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office; bonus if you know tools like Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.
• Proven adaptability, flexibility, and creativity.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally
